Exhibit: Growth, Director Park, Portland

2014

Client: Umpqua Bank
Studio: Fake Love
Role: Unity Developer
Deployment Time: Jan. 2015

In collaboration with CAA, Umpqua Bank orchestrated a partnership with The Mill+ and Fake Love to create a uniquely emotional experiential installation to tour the Pacific Northwest. The strategy was to connect people with the brand in an unconventional and interactive fashion. This installation would be entitled Exhibit: Growth.

For the exhibit, we designed a geodesic domed theater, creating a space for a series of grand interactive projections powered by the Kinect V2.

Visitors are invited inside to experience a variety of negative emotions culminating in a transformative journey, unique to every visitor. Each of these deeply evocative and emotional environments reacts distinctly to visitor’s body motions. This interaction naturally unveils a lone seedling, glowing in the void. As visitors gesture and move, the seed grows, extending branches and blossoming leaves until it's a vibrant, flourishing tree. Every tree is unique, eventually revealing it's part of a bountiful forest. This forest is the Umpqua Community. All the visitors received a unique digital image of their tree artfully composited with their silhouette to share.
